Hum drum numb dumb.

Rachel is currently experiencing a marathon headache. She is rather tired (and feeling guilty) of taking so many pills for other headaches this week. Deontay Burnett Jersey She woke up with this pain in her head at 9:40 in the AM. She is still feeling the same pain at 9:38 in the PM.

So this week, I had a couple big positives and one negative.

In 2D Design, my professor really really liked my rhythm project (the one I posted sketches for way down below – only the final piece looks nothing like any of those). She really loved on it during critique, but I was pretty blown away when I got my grade.

That is an extremely high grade. For an art class. For anything. And she grades pretty harshly – particularly on presentation and craftsmanship. Ed Ingram LSU Jersey We’re talking seams, edges, adhesive, alignment, stray marks, screw-ups, etc. And this project was in ink. No erasing.

On the flip side of that, the project I just turned in to that class… I was really excited about it. Davis Warren Jersey And as soon as I saw everyone else’s work, I felt horrible. I didn’t really push myself hard enough. Kolby Peavy Jersey It was a digging project – we made paper sandwiches oozing with texture and pattern and all these wonderful tactile qualities. Bound them. I just don’t push myself hard enough. Partly, I blame the time crunch. There was no class period to check up with each other and see how far other students were taking it. Nothing. Shorts And mine…. So – that really inspired me last night to spend a full hour touching up my “finished” drawing. Still life with striped fabric and “dramatic atmosphere.” More like dramatic background, really. I love love love how mine came out. I’m so proud to call it mine… and when I finished I was kinda shocked. I am always amazed by the little growths I see. Andrew Raym Jersey Constantly. In addition to that goodness, my sweet momma sent me some fall/halloween decorations. They make me smile, especially since the battery packs for the delicate little strands are literally half the size of this display box. Tiz quite hilarious.

Alsooooo… Scott and I discovered a secret doorway. More like a secret world of lights. I love it so much. We were eating lunch in a new place, just around the corner from my room where there are no doors, no smokers – nobody. Well, I am mucho grande exhausted. College makes you tired. I am currently reading about Roman artwork, and it is bringing back so many fond memories of Latin class. (Though, my few vocab & grammar skills do come into play when I can identify which declension a particular word belongs to. Fortuna! Oh boy!) One thing’s for sure. If he pops a quiz on us – I won’t have to expend any brain cells on identifying the Roman forum or giving the English equivalent of a triclinium. NOT kitchen.
